Hope is a Solicitor in the Employment Law Team, based in the Tonbridge office.
She read Law at Oxford Brookes University and graduated with an Upper Second Class Honours degree. Subsequently, Hope continued her studies at Oxford Brookes University, and obtained a Master of Laws in International Law, Globalisation and Development, graduating with a Distinction.
Hope advises on all aspects of English employment law and related human resource issues, acting for both employers and employees.
Hope particularly enjoys contentious matters and has experience representing and defending employers in Tribunal claims, including those relating to employment status, unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract. Hope also supports employers with ad hoc issues such as grievances, disciplinary action, managing poor performance, redundancy and family-related leave, as well as drafting and advising on contracts for junior and senior employees, staff handbooks, and individual policies and procedures.
Hope works closely with our corporate team, advising clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions when buying and selling companies, including the application to TUPE.
Hope regularly advises on and negotiates settlement agreements and exits for employees and advises employers on employee exits, providing appropriate settlement agreements.
Hope is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is currently studying at the Employment Law Academy, run by barrister Daniel Barnett, to further develop her knowledge of employment law. Alongside Louise Brenlund, Partner and Head of Employment, Hope assists in running and delivering the Warners HR Roundtable seminars.
Hope carries out pro-bono work for the Citizens Advice Bureau on a weekly basis.
